Synthesis Workshop (29 May 2023)

Organised by the Department of Chemistry at NUS, the workshop aims to enrich students with practical skills which are relevant to the JC curricula and post-JC chemistry whilst simultaneously enhancing the students’ passion in chemistry. This hands-on enrichment will give opportunity to students from JCs in Singapore to experience synthesising chemical compounds themselves in the lab.

Participant Criteria

• The workshop is opened to JC students.
• Each school can register a maximum of 2 teams
• Each team is comprised of 2 student participants

Dress code:

• Covered shoes
• Long pants (no skirt / short)
• Lab coats and safety goggles will be provided
• Long hair should be tied properly

Registration 

• Registration fee: SGD 20.00 per team (2 students) + GST
• No refund will be provided for any cancellations.
• Registration deadline is 15 April 2023 (Sat) OR when the registration is full (whichever is earlier).
• First come, first served basis
• A meal coupon valid at the Frontier Science Canteen will be provided.
