The Tuition Fee

The tuition fee for the full programme in AY2026/2027 is $52,320 inclusive of 9% GST.
Payment schedule due on the first week of every semester is as follows and all prices listed are in SGD.

  • A non-refundableand non-transferable acceptance fee of S$5,450 (inclusive of prevailing GST) is required to confirm your place.
  • All matriculated students have to pay the Miscellaneous Student Fees every semester. More information can be found here.
  • Full-time or part-time students who read more than 40 units OR obtain a ‘F’ or ‘CU’ grade and need to repeat/replace a course will need to pay the additional per-course fee.
  • Please refer to the IRAS website for more information on the prevailing GST rate. The prevailing GST applied to the fees payable will be borne by students.

Tuition fee rebate for local students (Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents) and NUS alumni

  • All Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, and alumni of NUS who are enrolled in this MSc programme will enjoy rebates for the tuition fee*.
  • For a limited time only (AY2024/25 to AY2026/27 intakes), Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (alumni and non-alumni) will enjoy a 40% tuition fee rebate*. For NUS Alumni (regardless of nationality), the tuition fee rebate entitlement is 20%*. If a student is a Singapore Citizen and also an NUS Alumni, the higher rebate* of 40% will apply.
  • These rebates will be automatically applied to the tuition fees, and eligible students do not need to apply for them. Rebates will not apply if you need to pay additional per-course fees for taking more than 40 units (10 courses) or for repeating/replacing courses due to ‘F’ or ‘CU’ grades; these courses will be charged at the prevailing per-course fee.

*Students awarded scholarships or study awards will NOT be able to receive any tuition fee rebate.

NUS ASEAN Master’s Scholarship

The NUS ASEAN Master’s Scholarship is a continuation of the DiscoverNUS scheme. It is an exclusive bond-free scholarship that covers full tuition fees for the normal candidature period of a Master’s Degree programme at NUS. The scholarship may be offered only to candidates who have met all the following requirements:

  • Hold citizenship in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam,
  • Have completed an undergraduate semester at NUS under the DiscoverNUS scheme,
  • Have earned an undergraduate degree from one of the partner universities in their country, and
  • Have been offered a place in one of the designated Master’s Degree programmes at NUS (please refer to the scholarship link at the bottom of this section).

A separate application to be considered for the scholarship is not necessary.

Recipients of the scholarship may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award or allowance without notifying NUS. If a recipient withdraws from the University and/or terminates the scholarship prematurely, NUS reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed.

FoS ASEAN Master’s Study Award

The FoS ASEAN Master’s Study Award is offered to support outstanding students from ASEAN member countries (excluding Singapore). Each scholarship will be granted as a partial tuition fee waiver for the programme. All FoS Coursework Master Programme applicants from the ASEAN region who have accepted the admissions offers will automatically be considered for FoS ASEAN Master’s Study Award and will not be required to submit a separate application for the scholarship.

The recipient must meet all below requirements to be eligible:

  • Citizens of an ASEAN* member country, excluding Singapore
  • Demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and active participation in community service or extracurricular activities during their undergraduate study.
  • Accepted the admission offer to the full-time FoS Coursework Master Programme
  • Non-NUS alumnus who will receive the prevailing tuition fee rebate at university level
  • Not a recipient of another NUS Scholarship/Study Award/Financial Aid
