Research Interests

The Park Group aims to develop new strategies to control the surface of organic and hybrid semiconductor materials. Combining innovative functional organic material synthesis and advanced multi-spectroscopic surface characterization, we will focus to investigate underlying fundamental knowledge of surface interaction, carrier dynamics, and holistic energetic landscapes across the interfaces. Leveraging our understanding of surface chemistry, organic modification, and optoelectronic properties, our group will develop practical multi-layered photonic devices. Furthermore, we will harness the new functionalities enabled by surface modification for broad impacts across pressing applications, including flexible electronics, artificial intelligence, efficient lighting, and sensing.
